On 16th February 2017, Advisors to Minister of National Education İsmail GÜLER and İbrahim YASAK and Director General of Innovation and Educational Technologies Bilal TIRNAKÇI visited Future’s Classroom Lab that was established by European Schoolnet, 30 European Ministries of Education and IT suppliers in 2012 in Brussels.

Advisors to Minister of National Education İsmail GÜLER and İbrahim YASAK and Director General of Innovation and Educational Technologies Bilal TIRNAKÇI visited Future’s Classroom Lab in Brussels in 16th February 2017 that was established by European Schoolnet, 30 European Ministries of Education and IT suppliers in 2012. Eyyup TANYILDIZ, Head of Administrative and Financial Affairs and Mustafa Hakan BUCUK, Head of Educational Technologies Development and Projects Department also participated in the visit that offered an opportunity to discuss and observe future’s educational spaces.

Established for concretize and investigate the renewal of traditional classrooms and other learning spaces, Future’s Classroom Lab (FCL) brings together ministers of education, teachers and IT suppliers. In this lab where future’s educational space specifications according to needs of the developing technology is discussed by participants. Research, development, testing and piloting works are conducted in order to support changing styles in both learning and teaching.

During the visit, MEB visiting committee detected that Future’s Classroom Lab offered opportunities for the feasibility works required for integration of rapid changing technologies in education. Besides, lab is found to contribute to “Educational Technologies Lab” planned to be established within Directorate of General of Innovation and Educational Technologies and also for the decisions to be made in terms of future’s of national educational spaces and technology.
