FATiH Project in Education was launched with the purpose of providing equal opportunities in education and improving the technology in schools using information technology to engage more senses in the educational process. FATİH Project was created with 5 main principles for success :

  • Accessibility: Offering service any where regardless of time and tools;
  • Productivity: Providing target-oriented and more productive environments and subjects for development;
  • Equality (Equal Opportunities) : Enabling all users to access the best service;
  • Measurability: Providing accurate measurements of the process and results and providing feedback accordingly for a better assessment of the development;
  • Quality: Enhancing the quality of education in a measurable way.

The aims are to provide equal opportunities, eliminate the digital gap and enhance the quality thanks to the solution that covers all success factors. FATİH Project in Education emphasizes the importance of assessing students based on not only their achievement but also their fields of interest, activities and tendencies; and analysing the data about students’education history. However, the purpose is not to create statistics with the data collected only. In addition, this project aims to store any kind of information formed in students' educational process in a single identity system and create an infrastructure where analysis can be conducted in a data pool. By being able to draw the right data among millions of them and analysing the related ones will make it easier to engage students who haven’t been included before by an individual educational tool; and it will become a source of information in terms of directing students to the right profession considering the fields of interest and their achievement. It is a must to conduct individual data analysis to engage students individually. This project aims the transition from a system where students are evaluated with only exams into a new system which will evaluate students by identifying the weak aspects according to their exam results, analysing these results visually, identifying fields of interest outside the course subjects, discovering their special skills, understanding the best way they learn in the easiest way, and identifying the subject to which a student is disposed. For the effective use of this system, high speed and secure internet (VPN) is provided to all schools. The systems that are installed and the changes in the hardware in schools can be followed on the school information system. In addition, the students will be able to continue or strengthen the learning process outside the school. With the FATİH Project in Education, students are able to access the course notes, classroom projects and homework that are assigned by teacher regardless of where he/she is, share their knowledge with their teachers and other students, and revise the topics covered with the content on EBA.

The FATIH Project in Education will fund services such as providing hardware and broadband internet to all classrooms, providing e-content, establishing platforms for the participation of teachers to IT, and facilitation of the other activities including project implementation support. The main components of FATIH Project in Education are:

FATİH Project in Education is not only a hardware and education project. Instead, it is a multi-dimensional service and has an important role in energising the domestic economy.

1. Within the scope of the project, the following will be achieved: Increasing domestic production and added-value, and producing goods which haven’t been produced domestically; Conducting research and development activities for new technologies and products; Creating an opportunity for accessing information technology hardware, software, network infrastructure and Internet to be provided to all schools and classrooms, and e-content; Providing e-books to students and teachers, and developing young entrepreneurship spirit.

2. 21st century citizenship skills such as Technology use, Effective communication, Analytical thinking, Problem solving, Cooperation and Collaboration will be developed within FATİH Project in Education.

3. In order to enable easier access to information, the Project aims to establish 'information technology classrooms' with necessary hardware in all schools where teachers and students will be provided with the opportunity to access technology.
